I have been writing for as long as I can remember. Long before I understood why I needed to, I just knew that putting words on paper helped me breathe.
I am a mother of two, a journal designer, and a woman who has lived through seasons that nearly broke me. Writing became the place where I could be honest — about depression, regret, father wounds, love, motherhood, shame, and resilience. It was never about sounding perfect. It was about surviving.
The Evolving Flame is not just my debut poetry collection. It reflects the woman I was, the woman I became, and the woman I am still becoming. These poems were written in quiet rooms, in heavy moments, and in the spaces where I had to choose to keep going.
If my words make even one person feel less alone, then they have done their job.
I write for those who are still standing — even when it’s hard.
