Hello, fellow writers, I am C. N. Garraway, and this is my blog. Welcome to the randomness that is me. Writing has always been a passion of mine. I am thrilled to have you join me. This blog is about writing, organizing your writing, and embarking on a journey with me to hone my craft and the random workings of intricate stories that unfold in my mind. Occasionally, I may also write about graphic design and web design. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Web Development. I design writing journals and occasionally, I design logos for my family.
I started this blog because it has been something I wanted to do for years, but was afraid to do. I have tried in the past, but never went beyond a few posts. I lost interest or didn’t know what I wanted out of the blog. For this blog, I want to share my writing again. I used to have a website years ago that I started when I was a teenager. I shared my poetry, short stories, and other people’s work. Sadly, I no longer have the website due to the hosting service shutting down. I started this blog to train myself to write consistently. I have tried over and over for years to write often. I only managed to write consistently on a short-term basis. I figured, why not try my hand at it again? It would hold me accountable to produce more writing.
This blog will talk about writing that I find interesting, or what I think you all might find interesting, and can gain insight from. I hope, along the way, I can provide useful tips that can help you on whatever journey you are on. I enjoy helping anyone to advance in their life.
I have been writing for years, from poetry, stories and novels. I write more poetry and novels than short stories. I write to heal, to share, and to inspire. Writing is my first love. I will always write whether I get paid or not. Writing has pulled me out of some dark moments. Writing saved my life and continues to do so. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t write. I sometimes go for long periods without writing, but when I start back, it’s like I never left. Lately, I have been writing more often. For years, I have been trying to write consistently. For the first time last year for NaNoWriMo, I wrote every day of the challenge except for missing one day. This was my successful challenge since joining back in ’09. I didn’t hit my goal of 50k, but I did get 33,684 words completed. I’ve never written that many words in that short of a time frame. It usually takes me months or years to reach that.
I will post one to two times a week. So, feel free to check in. Please follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Also, if you have any suggestions about topics you want me to discuss, leave them in the comments.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope to converse with you soon. Be blessed and spread lots of happiness!
